Dictation Buddy
In our call center's search for a device to record calls for QA, we discovered Dictation Buddy. Our center only has about 60 agents during peak times. All required for this is a "call-corder" which all phone providers sell for $25-$50. It plugs into the phone where the hand/headset went. It's output is one plug for a headset and the other is a 1/8 inch plug that plugs into the videocard in the back of the computer. We got the shareware version for free to try it out. It only records 60 seconds max. It worked great so we got the full version for $34.95. It let's us set the volume, minimum length call, maximum seconds of silence, saves and labels automatically to a file with the date and time stamped on it. We can leave it on an agent and it turns off after the call.We set the time to get a whole reservation interaction and eliminate information calls. It also allows us to email the sound file or use it in a word document for demonstrations. The files take up a lot of room but we delete them daily. Recommend highly.
