Emergency/evac plan
Our 100-agent 24/7 call center needs to put together an emergency evacuation plan. For instance, in case of fire, someone needs to be responsible for insuring that everyone has gotten out of the building, the power supply has been shut down, 911 was called, etc.
It is difficult to decide how to structure this, since we have variable shifts starting at all hours day & night. There are not supervisors on every shift, and the schedule changes weekly. Any suggestions? What kind of emergency plan do other call centers use? |

Many Options
I have been responsible for numerous disaster recovery and emergency preparedness plans for the various call centers I have managed. I would be glad to talk with you further, if you provide some contact information.
Sometimes you can have an Operations Desk oversee this process. You can have emergency captains for each department, area, or shift; with backup people. Get in touch with me or provide contact information and I would be glad to talk about this further. |
