Outbound Sales - How to Increase Agent Motivation and JOB FUN?
We are experiencing some similar problems in one of our outbound sales campaigns (we're an outsource call center for our client company).
The project we're running is a relatively simple, straight-forward and computer-scripted campaign, is leading to agents getting bored on the floor as they become tenured. More than this, it also leads to mischief, which interferes heavily with our sales objectives. Our company policies are somewhat strict for the nature of our business -- agents are not allowed to surf the internet, chat, or otherwise be distracted on the computer, but are also not allowed to bring games to work (like pocket poker or gameboys). Instead of having to counteract human nature and prevent any gameplay, I would like to introduce some sort of work-related activity that foster teamwork and sales-orientation, but also encourages enthusiasm. MOSTLY, however I want to make our environment a CONSISTENTLY FUN place to work, because I believe that the more fun agents have at work, the more they will enjoy their jobs and the more likely our retention and production rates will improve. I am also the trainer for the center, and I also would like some ideas to make my training more fun as well if anyone has any ideas for that? Thank you in advance for your insightful replies!
