Productivity Levels based on Team Size

Hi everyone.

I was wondering if anyone had any information on productivity levels of teams, based on the size of the team. We know that the productivity levels of smaller teams is significantly lower than that of larger teams, but are looking for some data to validate/quantify that statement. Please send me an e mail if you'd like to discuss, or if you have any information.

Thanks!

The people element and the team size certainly matters a lot and impacts the end result. If you have a small team size, your productivity is low, since the 'feel good' factor of having a large agent population around you is no more, the motivation gets effected, the small size of agents tend to feel as if they are being constantly watched, and above all the growth prospects of the agents comes to a stop; we all know that these folks look only for two things in this game: the money and the growth. Intrinsic motivation will take keep you up for a while, but soon you will exprience the problems, and maybe even high attrition.

A large team size makes it easier to handle various factors (human/technical) effecting the productivity. Now, the only way to measure and quantify this is probably by expriencing them both, or by learning from the expriences of other contact centers.

The more soldiers you have in a battle, the more strenght it gives to the entire force to win the fight.
