Well, I have had about 5 years call center experience, but the last 3 were for an online payday loan company who is a call center.

How many years?

Three as of january 5th 2006, two of those have been at the same center and its been one hell of a ride and shows no signs of stopping anytime soon.

10 horrible years, in Research, Operations, Consulting, Business Development, a little tech and finance, (is there anything still pending??).

After 20 years in the "business" starting on the phones, then solid supervisory and eventual management & training /QA/Coaching mgmt. positions- I am calling it quits and seeking a career change!!

Too much red tape, too little quality customer service (especially outsourcing your most important asset- customer service- to folks in another country who have no real vested interest in YOUR customers all for the sake of the almighty $$).

Too many revolving doors and not enough retention. Never keeping the MAIN thing, the MAIN thing.

It was a great run but this is it.

22 years. First job I ever had was a CSR on the phones. Now a Director of large call center. Can't imagine ever doing anything else!
