Forecasting Calculation
UUp to no out forecastin calculation worked:
last 6 weeks average for that weekday ------------------------------------------------- lastyears last 6 weeks average for that weekday then multiply this by : the call volume of this day's closest match to last year. This has stopped being as accurate now. Waht do other people do? Kind Regards Ian Ripping |

Hi
I think you can try what I do follow it might work. Rather than taking last six week's avg take last three month's actual call volume and arrived on daily % contribution over a month. calculate the same for last three month and then take avg % of last three moths %of a day. Eg. June(1600Calls) July(1650 Calls) Aug(1550Calls) Date 1 3.5% 3.8% 4% 2 3% 3.5% 3.6% 3 2.8% 3.4% 3.4% . . . 31 so on So your Sept Call voilume will be Avg(June.July,Aug.)1600 and 1st Sept will be Avg(3.5,3.8,4) so 3.78% of 1600 will be your call volume. Try the same and let me know the response. |
