Call Center Manager

I am looking for a Call Center Manger. They would report directly to the Director of Operations. The call center has about 25 people both inbound and outbound. We are a manufacturing company serving the education and craft industry. My question is this;

Does anyone have a good set of interview questions relating to call center management?

I believe if you look at an outline of traits that a qualified candidate should posess and match those against your company's Mission Statement you may be successful in filling this role. The premise of this of course is to find an outline of common characteristics that the qualified candidate should have. I would suggest obtaining a list of competencies under www.ciac-cert.org. Once on this site search for a PDF that contains the competencies for Certified Operations Manager. From this document you should be able to select the qualities that are important to your organization and formulate questions around these criteria. In addition, the book "Call Center Management on Fast Forward", has a section of sample job descriprions for Call Center managers.

Good Luck,
Moe
