gender composition
It is generally held that women dominate the call centre workforce. However, in Britain and the US they seem to be concentrated in certain sectors of the industry such as financial services and customer relations. I am trying to find official statistics about the gender composition of different sectors in the Indian call centre industy. Can anyone direct me to this information. Also, if you happen to be employed in an Indian call centre, based on your own observations, would you agree that the ratio of males to females is 35:65? I a writing a paper on the impact of call centres on its Indian employees. Thanks in advance for your help.
