Motivation Ideas
Need some help. Figured the collective tribal knowledge of the group could assist. I am in the process of compiling a listing of costless to cheap(less than $50) motivational ideas, contests, events, etc., that can be used from a supervisor/TL level down. I am willing to share the end result with all contributors. (and even those that are just interested)
I know that there have been a number of postings regarding motivation techniques and ideas in the past. If anyone can recall the names or dates when these were posted I will be more than happy to pull off there. Thanks ahead of time.

Get Dave Worman's book, "Motivating with Contests"- mine is dog eared from years and years of usage.
Many contests and motivational ideas also come from your front line people. Believe it or not, money is NOT what always motivates. Ask your team what would motivate THEM!! |

Motivational issues
Smack,
There are several cheap and effective ways to increase staff motivation. Most of them are based on increasing the following 3 factors: 1. Strategy 2. Tools and 3. Skills All motivational actions that are related to these 3 factors, also increase results and are therefor easy to present to the general management. Contests; - Best performing agent/team awards - Positive feedback from customers awards Events; - (Free) Tickets to work related seminars, workshops etc. ( pay their time... it's worth it ) Others; - Let agents perform duties for TL's and/or Training department during the quiet hours I hope to have been of assistance. hi
motivation is more internal than external. Just conduct a sample informal chat with some enterprising people of your organisation and get to know what kicks them and what does not.. mostly anything to do with fun time is a big hit.. you could talk to some seniors and figure some health, spiritual initiatives which will help them more.. but the whole thing is it should be made interesting and captivating warm wishes prasad |

Hi,
You might find that conducting an internal health check will provide you with the answers you need. Produce a spreadsheet with a list of questions ( areas you want to be rated on) - get them to rate 1 to 5. Also get them to back up their ratings with comments. Send this out via e-mail and collate the responses. You find some of the biggest morale raisers come from just listening and acknowledging your staff. The quick fix reward based ideas are great but do not sustain long term morale or motivation. Give them empowerment over their environment and a voice and you've got them there.
