Industry Standard

Help!! I need to know what sort of standard or guidelines people call center are based own. I have read information that you can create your own standard based on the industry. But, it is hard for me to believe that there aren't any guidelines to follow. If anyone can guide me in the right direction please do so...

While there are no "standards" in the true sense of the word and that can be applied broadly, there are certainly guidelines and best practices that you can use. However, these are business and industry dependent. Without any knowledge about your “industry”, the type of call center (inbound/outbound, type of services, etc.), your audience, and many other factors, it is impossible to offer any standard, guidelines or even best practices…

Can you provide some background?
