Best Voice for Collections IVR?

We are in the process of evaulating our current IVR platform. We will be recording new messages for our scripts. The question came up on what type of voice to use. Male/Female, old/young, etc.

Has anyone done any research into this? What are your thoughts?

Thanks

Jeff

i have not personally done research...but have read articles and it seems that people take to energtic, young female voices.

We have all of our recordings down professionally. The women is a news/radio announcer. She records them at home as a wav file and sends them to us. We can then record onto our announcements.
