Opening a call center

Hi,
I wanted to get some information on opening a call center, say in India. I have over 5 years of call center management expereince in Canada and want to get some information regarding the formalities and other aspects of opening a call center...outsourcing to India. I would like to know the very basics like how to get started, how to approach companies and ofcourse the expenses involved etc.

Anybody with some thoughts or some websites where I can find more information please, I would really appreciate it a lot.

Thanks.

You first need a min of $250,000 on Technology

Then you need to be debt free to offer a low cost solution.

good luck.

Yooo,
You likely don't need to build a center, just buy one. There are many on the market today. Unless you have local connections in India, I suspect it would be difficult to open a center there. You may want to look at relocated to India, build a reputation and profile working in centers there and then looking to build.

I hope taht I have added some value to this dicscussion. Please contact me directly at ctaylor@thetaylorreachgroup.com if I can be of further assistance.

Thank you guys

Thank you very much to all for some invaluable information. I have been working in Canada but yes, originally from India and call centers are booming in India like anything. Big money and I want to b a part of it..:))) I have some infrastructure in India. By that I mean, I can get a decent place/office, furniture and some computers too. Thats about it.
I have some finances as well but nothing comparable to $250,000 as someone suggested.

What would be the first step in setting up a call center in India, most probably New Delhi?

Thanks a lot for the input.

Opening a Call Center

Yooo,

It is now a rather simple task to setup a Call Center in India.
The statuatory permissions are easy to obtain and are minimal to any business.

Some costs at which you can setup are outlined here when you use a Virtual CC , ASP model . YOu can get a PD, ACD, IVR, CRM, etc. etc and more at very reasonable cost of about $110 to $150 per month per seat rental. Add to that Lond Distance charges at about $0.02 per minute , and you are all set to go.

If you want help/more info on the setup cost , etc. ( which is very low) let me know

hey,

The best possible solution to your question is to lease out few seats from a call center as this would keep you debt free and wnt hurt your pocket.

once all goes good then slowly you can build your own set up.

There are plenty of call center who would offer you there seats at low rates on per seat model.
