Where do you guys find your vendors?

Hi Call Center Owners/Managers,

I am in the headset business. In particular the distribution of headsets.

I am curious to know what your buying habits are like. How do you pick a distributor? What are the important things you look for? Do you mind being contacted via the phone by sales reps? Is there a means by which you are contacted that you prefer?

What are you skeptical about when dealing with distributors? Would you prefer to deal with the manufacturer directly? Do you believe you're getting the best price?

Assuming I am a sales rep, and I am, what is it about you that you would want me to know before calling you?

This information would be very helpful to me. I'm not the pushy, in your face, sell ice to Eskimos type, so I'm looking for the type of information I need to make the most of my selling.
