Motivation

Hi,
IMHO staff motivation is like a moving average. The best practice i adopt is to give them the "empowerment" to do what they feel is good in the best interest of the organization and individuals.
Referring to Maslow's thoery motivation is nothing but the need to be recognised by the community which in this circumstance is their work environment.

My staff is fully empowered, to whatever required to finish the customer case...including ýreactivating account, resetting passwords...etc

What I suggest it to my mangers is:ý

That we need to give them the chance to gather somewhere nice for example...some clubs ýmaybe or to attend some events on the charge of the department budget.ý

Else are things to do with treating them on a personal level...in a way that they should be ývisited by their line mangers from time to time...to chat and ...etc.ý

I’m still in like to have some other good points to rise.ý

Please feel free to share your ideas all.ý

Thank you

you may want to do an exercise with your team. Ask them to write what motivates the most in a piece of paper anonymously and do the same to see if what you think match what they think. And work on the gap if there is any. Believe me motivation is not only giving incentives.
