Frequency of Shift Bids - Best Practices

Our company has shift bids as frequently as every two months. My observation has been that this can have a detrimental affect on our reps and puts us in a position where we seem to be reactionary to calling patterns. I'm looking for other thoughts and experiences. I believe twice a year is sufficient and can be augmented with mini-bids. Does anyone have anything? Know of any web sites with survey info on the impact of frequent shift bids, impact on the workforce, etc? Thanks

Shift Bid Pro's and Con's

I have just left a center where we Bid out every three months. I also would like to find some other sources of information regarding the feasability concerning performance and retention. Our Center spent more time with our regular performers and not so much with our low performers.

My new Center wants to explore this option and we are trying to get support information to gain any additional insights.

Thanks,

RL
