Call Centers Development Trends

Hi,
I just took a job for the company that has Call Center.
My first task is to report the my managers about current development trends of CCs. The company is strongly investing in the software right now and they want me to find out about possible ways of developing the software. Also information on CC sales techniques are needed. Could anyone help me and give some hints please. Maybe you know any useful links? Any reply is appreciated. Please help me to keep this job.
Thanks
Michael

Tools

Hi Michael,
What particular tools are you talking about?
Outbound Dialer?
Quality Monitoring tools?
Soft dashboard?

These are a few things you got to have in a CC.
Let me know how I can help you further
