excel and forecasting
Hi,
I just looked at this thread and saw a few requests for the scheduling software. I sent the file to the e mails on the last page - once you successfully save and load the software, get in touch with me and I can go over how to load historical info, run half hour forecasts and generate agent schedules against the forecast. Excel and Forecasting_Reply
You can forecast using Excel. However, I'd recommend using an Erlang calculator that you can download to help with your forecasting (ex. Westbay Traffic Calculator). It helps to give a more realistic view of your forecast.
I wouldn't use this to replace a workforce management system but you can use this as a guide to see how accurate your forecast is. I hope this helps Sheldon Overton sheldonoverton@aol.com |

Is the software still available?
Hi, I am new here, just registered.
For sometime i have been using an Erlang C Addin for Excel. I downloaded for free from the following site. www.erlang.co.uk It is free to use and has proven very useful. Thetuan, is the software that has been requested here many times still available? I would be interested in looking at it. email is cbsoothill@earthlink.net Also someone, NBosch i think, had mentioned about a forecasting tool that was built in MS Access. Are there any more details on that and how it worked? Thanks for any assistance. |
