Home based agents

Hi
we are a medium sized inbound CC (160 agts) in Ontario, Canada. We'd like to offer some agts the option of working from home. Has anyone any experience how to set this up? I need some pointers where to find info on: HR & legal requirements, data security, connectivity (voice & data). Any input is highly appreciated. Thx, H

Home Agents..

I run a very small inbound call center. Just started earlier this year. I use at home agents to handle my calls. Its definately the least expensive way.. compared to hire a inhouse employee. I have had agents here in the U.S. and in the Caribbean. Since I am using VOIP for my calls I have developed several ways of handling quality of service. As far as legal.. I hire my agents as independent contractors and they are responsible for their own taxes. I have their calls recorded and have the ability for live monitoring.
