Voice Portal 4.0

HI All ,

I just wanted to know exactly how the call is transferred to a specific MPP running in a Voice Portal setup (with multiple MPPs) .

As per the document , its the Application Interface Webservice running on an MPP which decides which mpp shud be transferred the call to , based on the resources available. and the call is directly routed to that MPP from the PBX or the AES server.
now , where comes the role of VPMS in this transfer ??

what if the VPMS goes down , will the MPP still continue to take calls (if the calls actually are transferred to MPP )??
