We combined PTO/Vacation/Holiday each employee gets 18 days total per year.
If the employee calls in an absence before midnight of the day they will be gone it is not an occurrence. If they call in ill after midnight it is 1/2 an occurrence. Two occurrences result in a write up. Employees allowed to take time of encourage them to give 2 weeks notice but it is not necessary. We have a PTO bank for employees to "donate " extra days off they have to needy coworkers. We allow employees to flex out and make up time in most situations. Call center hours M-F 6am-530pm We do not allow too much lee-way for sick kids, not my choice just how it is there. Star |

Well, our call center allows for 10 days sick leave and 10 days vacation leave each year, pro-rated. Any leave in excess of this allowable number is an unpaid leave. We do practice discretion if absenteeism is excessive and reasons are dubious.
