Auto Dialers/Predictive Dialers
I have been placed in charge of picking an Auto Dialer for a call center with 75 seats with the possibility of growing to a predictive dialer - we want to stay in a price range of $40,000 - is this price range possible to purchase an effective auto dialer system? I am trying to obtain company names and contact phone numbers of quality auto dialers.

I suggest that you look for a refurbished "brand name" predictive dialer from a reputable used equipment supplier. The reasons are: 1. It will be easier to find internal support personnel or distributors that have used the brand before and can help you set it up and maintain it correctly. 2. Replacement parts (boards) are usually an industry standard and easy to find on a name brand. 3. Last, but not least, you can get bells and whistles on the predictive dialer in a refurbished unit at a much lower cost than a new unit. The way that companies in the outbound business come and go and upgrade/expand, there are a huge amount of these units on the market at extremely reasonable prices. I suggest that you look at all the presentations from the major players on new units and then buy an older unit in the brand you like and that fits your needs the best. Many times distributors have taken units in as trade-ins and want to get them off their books. One of the best dialers I have come across is from a company called Magnetic North (www.maneticnorth.co.uk)
The dialer has the option of placing the agent / campaign in either of the preview/progressive/predictive dialing mode, so you wont need to upgrade to another dialer later on.
