Insurance Outsourcing

Is anyone aware of published studies about outsourcing trends in the Insurance sector, particularly in claim management and policy administration?

I appreciate your help.

ins clms outsourcing

Jay -
saw your post - thought I'd drop you a reply.

I am a former executive director at Allstate Ins and a former
PricewaterhouseCoopers principal consultant and practice leader in customer care/call center best practices.

At Allstate, I set up an outsourced agency sales/service capapbility intetgrated with claims and with agencies across the country. There are several very significant variables that need be considered in determining what configuration and deployment approach will work best for your organization, culture, products, processes, etc. I would urge caution is seeking to follow another organizations configuration/approach - most likely it will not be well suited for your company.

If you wish, you can contact me at 732-683-9858. I can give you the name of a VP at a major outsource provider that has strong insurance sector skills, who I have known for years and who worked on the Allstate set up.
