Looking for Vegas call centers

Hi all. I just found this site. Awesome!
I'm going to the Aspect Conference in Vegas on 10/15 and am looking for a couple of call centers to tour. We're in the processing of upgrading our 120-seat call center and I need some inspiration.

Do you have a call center located in Vegas?
If not, do you know of one?

Please just give me the name and I'll contact them.
Thanks for your help.

Vegas Call Center Reply-RECESSION!

I noticed your message from 10/01. Vegas is in recession mode big time! Call centers are closing. One I worked at-Lillian Vernon Corp, before closure 5/01- is beautiful, near airport, new building with lots of windows. Providian call center is closing 12/7 in Henderson Executive park. I could go on with other closures.
My mindset is with virtual call centers. I start working with LiveOps.com in Florida 12/19-customer service from SECURITY of own home. I would like to hear about more companies going this route.I think best bet for making living in today's economy i.e get 2-3 home businesses going.

Appreciate comments!! Vivian from Vegas

Why are they closing???

Hi!

I was wondering if you could indicate why the call centers in Vegas are closing? Perhaps they can offload work to India where the labour is cheap and facilities are abundant? Would you know how I could propose such an idea to them?

Thanks
Sheila

Vegas Call Center Closures

Hi Shiela-

Las Vegas was especially HIT HARD by the recession-call centers included. This week 700 in the Providian call center will get layed off. You might try to reach headquarters of Providian in San Francisco for outsourcing ideas you mentioned (exactly why I am seeing more "virtual call centers" opening up for outsourcing i.e less expensive for employers re: no insurance, purchasing additional equipment for new employees) My former employer, Excite@home.com filed for bankruptcy last week, also another employer Lillian Vernon Corp. closed their Vegas call center due to nationwide sluggish sales. I could list more - economy hurting and affecting all aspects of employment now- so trickle effect big time everywhere!

I'm not sure what to suggest per getting in touch with management people for outsourcing work from closed centers in Vegas. I would think this excellent website could help. Seems like a lot of talent/management types in these forums worldwide who could offer suggestions.

Good luck and best regards,

Vivian
