Getting demotivated

Hi,

My team members are not being able to make sales inspite of their sincere effort, and so are getting demotivated.

How could I help in increasing their level of enthusiasm, when they are just looking forward to finish their call time by simply making as many no. of calls as possible.

Will be glad to receive some suggestions.

sales motivation

Some questions I would be asking myself:

1. Is this a new product/service?
2. Has the quota been a regular standard with proven history?
3. Am I employing group motivation techniques?
4. Are employees being rewarded for success?
5. How is retention?
6. Are employees being mentored?

Motivation

Hi. I am a Technical Support Assistant for my company, but before this I was an agent myself. The things that were done to motivate the staff were to send out recognitions of hard work. You did mention their sincere effort, and a good way to show appreciation could be by having an appreciation lunch, or dinner according to call center hours.

Hello Michael!

The items the others have mentioned are a great starting point however, IMHO, four things could be causing the demotivation issue:

1. Poor Product
2. Poor Offer
3. Poor List
4. Poor script guidelines

You can try to motivate your agents in every way possible but if they feel it is hopeless to try and sell because of one of the items above, no amount of motivational tactics will help.

Feel free to call me to discuss.

Every call center that I have worked for had the greatest success with prizes and cash spiff incentives.

People like instant gratification.

if u can tell us a little more about what you sell I might be able to advise from experience.
