Quick Estimate
The simplest way is to ascertain all recurring and fixed costs that are involved in creating the environment for an agent to call. These is easiest to do by taking your operating costs (recurring and fixed separately) and dividing that by the number of manhours available. For example if your recurring costs annually are $4 million and your manhour total per annum is 400,000 then your cost per seat per hour is $10. Functional enough to ensure that you are within your budgeted cost structure.

thanx, process... some more questions...
what if the call center is just new, say, less than a year in operations? annual operational (recurring and fixed) costs don't exist yet. how do we compute the cost per seat? how much can be charged for outsourced inbound, outbound and telemarketing services? usually, how much do american and european contact centers charge? thanx, again.
