Call Center Games

Does anyone have any fun new games/contests that can be played at call centers?

Has anyone tried something with the Survivor Theme?

I have found many websites that has games, however it is difficult to play them when the agents are on the phone.

I have had contests that are for productivity, quality, etc. as well as a few fun games, however I am looking for new ideas.

Thank you!

Hi,

why don't you play the game "answer as many calls as you can"? Only joking, sorry ...

I would be interested in hearing more about your experience with games/contests in the call center. I would appreciate if you could share some insight with me: karsten_fuhrmann@hotmail.com

Thanks in advance.

Call center games

Tic Tac Toe is a fun one. Each day, each CSR gets a new board and to win, they must receive a call that fits the description in each box, or they must say or hear a phrase in their calls that matches the box, etc.

This keeps their interest and helps if you are trying to get them to say new things, or take new types of calls or just trying to keep their spirit and interest high, if it is a mundane type of call center where the calls are the same day after day.

the prizes can be as simple as fill out the card completely, pick up your candy or chatchka, and win a chance at a larger prize of some sort... maybe a free hotel stay or free dinner for the winner of the drawing that will be entered by all who completed the card fully and honestly.

The "answer as many calls as possible" also works, and I know she was joking, but we had someone take that to heart. They started answering, hanging up, answering, hanging up. Well, it didnt take long for them to be caught. Their excuse?

You didnt TELL me I couldn't do that.

Its fun huh?

In the Fall of 2000 I ran a long term contest loosely based on the Survivor show. I am the Contest & Incentive Administrator for a CRM company in Michigan and the Awards program I manage runs weekly, monthly, departmental and quarterly incentive programs simultaneously. Some of the larger contest themes have been Survivor, Game Show Mania, Grand Prix, Murder Mystery (this one was a HUGE hit with our agents), Treasure Hunt. I am always looking for new themes as well so if you are interested in swapping some ideas please feel free to contact me at shoffmeyer@minacsusa.com.

We are always looking for new and exciting ways to motivate and reward staff. Something simple which the agents (CSRs) enjoy is to be served dessert and a beverage at their desk by their Supervisors, Operations Managers and if possible the CCD. The key to this is not the treats it's the service by management that has the most impact. It's also an opportunity for Operations Managers and CCDs to have 1:1 contact with every agent. The challenge is trying to do this during peak volume, however the agents also seem to need it most when the stress levels are a little higher. Either way, it's relatively inexpensive and it is an effective morale booster.

Thanks

Kim
