In the U.S., there has been an increase in the need for fluent, qualified, Spanish speaking CSRs. This need is particularly higher in call centers that service consumers or centers that handle international clients.

Our call center currently uses translation services to assistance Spanish speaking callers. One challenge in recruiting and hiring Spanish speaking CSRs is the dialect issue. Depending upon region, Spanish speaking consumers in the U.S. use multiple dialects with large differences. For example, one dialect of Spanish is spoken in Texas (Tex-Mex), while another dialect is spoken in California and the Northeast - primarily depending on the country of origin of the Spanish speaking population.

Yes, there is a need for Spanish/English bilingual phoners -- clearly the market you are in determines how great a need. We have worked with education and language specialists to develop a testing process for the TSR to determine language skills. I do not find that the different dialects cause a big problem. If you have a TSR that speaks well they can communicate fairly easily with the different constituencies.

Spanish

Do you provide Spanish speaking CSR's? I am seeking a call center that provides that. Please contact me as I have a couple possible opportunities in that area.
