Automated Message Accent

I have heard that some call centers have had success in using individuals with geographic accents to record their automated messages for outbound campaigns. For example, using a southern accent versus no accent is more successful in getting call backs. Has anyone utilized this with any success?

Accent

thats a very interesting thought... of course, it could be that anything that doesnt SOUND PERFECT and therefore canned and oblivious would be better than the norm

I would be interested in helping you test the theory

I deal with call center operators from all over the US and would be happy to discuss this situation. There are several differing thoughts on the subject. Call me.
