Locking/Blocking Issues

Hi,

We run Ewfm V6.1 on SQL Server 2000 and Windows 2000 servers - the application and database are on separate servers.

Our users are experiencing problems which are resulting in their screen freezing. The problem usually clears after Updater Services has been stopped and started.

Apparently Aspect have done some calculations on the volume of data that SQL Server can handle between the database and application servers and recommend no more than 50 concurrent users. This has come as a suprise to us as we know there is no SQL Server limitation when it comes to concurrent users.

Has anyone else experienced such a problem ? If so can they give me some idea on how they resolved it. So far we are thinking we can somehow limit the number of users as a short term fix but we are not sure about long term.

Thanks in Advance !
Susan
