genesys v avaya

We are comparing Genesys and Avaya for a customer interaction management platform (routing, softphone, CTI). Does anyone have any experience with either platform? Did you compare the two, and if so, what made you choose one over the other? If you've completed implementation, how easy was it and did the vendor offer present and effective implementation plan? Thanks for your help.
