Communicating important messages to all call center staff

Hello everyone

I am looking to find a tool which i can use to send important messages (in a crawler fashion at the bottom of the PC screen) to 50 call center agents.

We currently do this via emails, but this has no guarantee of working since agents may be servicing customers and may not open their emails.

A message or messages that will crawl on the bottom of their screen is obviously a much more effective solution.

Would appreciate any comments/ideas. Obviously, a cost effective (dare I say free?) solution would be ideal.

Thanks!

Crawler Messages to Agents

We have such a solution, dare I say not free :-) .. but cost effective.

However, I suggest that you investigate using an RSS feed. If you Google something like (RSS reader aggregator free) you will find a number of free RSS readers out there that will deliver RSS in various formats. It is a robust technology and not too difficult to deploy. Google (RSS how to) to get the basics.

Regards, Tom

A thought...

I found a very user friendly, agent friendly way of accomplishing scrolling text for each agents pc, Providing them with REAL TIME updated information, and not ever having to hear the ol " I didn't read my email"

Check out :

Download file from : How To Get Text Ticker | Slashback Associates, Inc. reviews and free downloads

Install to default folder

Open Text Ticker from Programs

Right click on ticker: Under Options : FILE : Set open file to : Your Network Drive folder

Under options AUTO : Check the box with Reload file every ( seconds) , then change number to 4.

All other options are to the agents discretion ie: Fonts , size and colors.

The File located on the network drive K: would then be updated as needed by the Teir 2, the supervisor and management.

For security purposes this file can have its securities set and should not be easily hijacked.

This would ensure that each agent is fully aware of any IMMEDIATE updates and / or Bugs. Using this ticker would also eliminate the all to popular excuse, "I didn't read my email"

Real time Updates, minimal processing, will not effect the speed or usage of the computer it is installed on.

This application is Shareware, however very cost effective.

Hope that gives an idea...

Lori

Thank you!

Lori,

many, many thanks for the information. We have contacted Slashback Associates, whose response was, simply put, fantastic. We now have the ideal tool for quick and easy communication with our agents.

Many thanks for your suggestion

This crawler text is a good idea. In our company, employees are told from the very start to read their emails regularly. Reading office-related emails is part of protocol, so we cannot give the old i-wasn't-able-to-open-my-mail excuse.

getting people to read emails

How successful has your company been with this approach?
Does just telling them they have to do it working? Or do the just skim the emails
and ignore the content?

Important message

To communicate to all of your agents you can use live messenger, it is free of cost and if you want to invest some money you can install internal chat server program to all of your systems.
