cordless ACD headsets
We utilize the Ellipse 2.4 cordless headsets for our support staff in our call center, and they have been very effective. What I want is a cordless headset that can login as an ACD agent in queue, and have outbound dialing capbilities away from the main phone base. I have asked several vendors and there seems to be none of these available. The biggest issues seems to be the fact that I want the support staff to be logged into an ACD queue... any ideas???

interesting - tell me more
Our company is just beginning to look at the wireless headset market. We're trying to figure out if there are needs that aren't met by current products, and this sounds interesting. I confess that I don't know anything about how ACD works, or how the phone normally "logs in".
Send me an email offline, and maybe you can point me to some information that will teach me more about what other phone features would have to be duplicated by the headset. Chris Lyons Marketing Manager Shure Communications Inc. lyons_chris@shurecomm.com |

We are currently using Definity Wireless phones that a headset plugs into for this capability for our supervisors.
We are running an all Avaya platform, and the Wireless phones are used by our supervisors to take calls from the ACD skill of Supervisor Assist and still be able to walk the room and provide support as needed. |
